BIG thanks to all GFIS partners and users for 2010
The GFIS team would like to thank all information provider partners and users for their cooperation and contribution to a GFIS success story in 2010. Since the upgraded GFIS gateway was launched in August 2010, the gateway has got more and more new users - see a monthly usage of gfis.net below - and information provider partners - see GFIS information provider partners.

Today there are over 250 information provider partners that maintain over 270 forest related RSS feeds from around the world linked to the GFIS search. The most popular information types are "news" and "publications". Users can find around 500 fresh news and 150 new publications weekly available via the GFIS gateway.

How to Share Information on GFIS?
With the launch of the new GFIS gateway, ease of use for new information providers has been a top priority. With a little guidance, sharing and accessing information on GFIS is simple. To address some of the difficulties information providers have had with setting up their RSS feeds, the system now allows information provision of single items (e.g. an event, a news, etc.) via a web form.
