ESF College Foundation Honors Miller for Teaching Achievement

Anthony J. Miller, an instructor in the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry's (ESF) Department of Landscape Architecture, has received the 2013 ESF College Foundation Award for Exceptional Achievement in Teaching.

College of Forestry Senior to Speak at Commencement Dinner

Each spring, Provost Sabah Randhawa invites OSU Academic Deans to nominate graduating seniors to speak at the Commencement Dinner hosted by President Ed Ray. This year’s senior is none other than the College of Forestry’s Todd Bertwell! Todd is a Forest Management student who was selected to speak out of every nomination University-wide. The College of Forestry is very proud. He will speak at the dinner on Saturday, June 15 about what Oregon State University has meant to him and his life. Congratulations, Todd!

Fabius-Pompey HEROS Science Club Partners with ESF

When ESF general chemistry students meet a group of elementary students, the reaction is a positive one. This spring students ESF teamed up with Fabius-Pompey Elementary School's HEROS (Homework, Exercise, Recreation On-site) program. For six weeks the group investigated various types of chemistry including polymer chemistry, acid-base chemistry, photochemistry, thermochemistry and electrochemistry.

OSU College of Forestry Senior Receives State Award

At the 2013 annual meeting of the Oregon Society of American Foresters (OSAF), Gary Batliner, a senior in forest management in the College of Forestry at Oregon State University (OSU), received the 2012-13 OSU Outstanding Student Award.
