GFIS Partnership Development

GFIS, like other CPF initiatives, is built on the commitments of its partners. All information available through GFIS is provided by organizations around the world concerned with forests and forestry. GFIS seeks to develop more partnerships with such institutions in order to provide access to a comprehensive array of forest information. Partners benefit from this relationship with GFIS which raises their profile on the global stage and enables them better to promote their information resources. GFIS information providers are organizations that collect and maintain forest-related information and make it available to GFIS though metadata that meets the GFIS metadata standards.
